Re-up for two more years and the army would have let me drive this nice big green truck plus give me a $10,000 bonus. I was getting real close to ETS date. It was a no brainer. I choose to pass on the offer. At home I had a wife and a new baby I had never held in my arms before. Re-uping would have meant a tour in Vietnam. I lost several high school buddy friends in Nam and I wasn't interested. With respect for their memory enough said.
